How long is the course?

Each course is two years long, taught part time, starting on 25th January 2019 and finishing in November 2020. 

The 2 year course consists of 24 days tuition each year including examinations. Year 1 will involve soft tissue and massage based techniques and mobilisation, and Year 2 involves more ligamentous and soft tissue approaches. Both years involve detailed methods of assessing the client.

What qualification will I get at the end of each year of training?

After successful completion of year 1, you will be eligible to become a qualified Amatsu Level 1 Practitioner, and you will be able to get practitioner insurance, thus being able to charge your clients for treatments. And after successful completion of Year 2, you will become a fully qualified Amatsu Level 2 Practitioner.

25, 26, 27, 28 January (Module 1 - Introduction to Amatsu Soft Tissue Therapy)
22, 23, 24, 25 February (Module 2 and 3 - Foot and knee)
12, 13, 14, 15 April  (Module 4 and 5 - Femoral head, pelvis and lumbar spine)
28, 29, 30 June, 1 July (Module 6 and 7) - Arm, shoulder, ribs and thoracic spine)
6, 7, 8, 9 September (Module 8 - Head and neck)
11, 12, 13 October (Revision)
9, 10 November (Examinations)

Dates for 2020 will be decided soon.

How do you sign up for the course?

Complete the application form and return to our office. We will interview you face to face  or by telephone and check suitability for the course. You will then  be signed up for the next two year course once we receive your deposit of £600.

What are the usual fees per year?

£3200 for year 1 (includes £600 deposit)
£3200 for year 2 (includes £600 deposit)

Payments can be made in instalments (additional charges apply) or via our Payments page. Please contact us to arrange payment via your bank.

What does my course fees cover?

The course fees cover all tuition, mentoring, Amatsu text books and digitally produced modules, homework and marking of case studies and examination fees.  You will have to pay for your own student and practitioner insurance, and membership of Amatsu Therapy International UK.

You will need to buy our set books for anatomy and physiology and will be given a list. They are available for purchase on Amazon UK.
